Catch your breath.

Do you daydream about fake conflicts, worry about what other people are thinking or obsess over a future event that has the tiniest chance of going wrong?

Asking for a friend….lol.

Most of the time, we aren’t where we physically are at all! We’re up in our heads. Thoughts and concerns take over what we see and how we feel, blinding us from the overwhelming amount of good and beauty in the here and now. It’s MY right and YOUR right to tell the body and mind – HOLD UP 1 SEC.

I need a breather.

That’s how I felt after this week. I just needed a day to connect mind/body/spirit. The constant go go go had taken its toll and I felt uninspired. Saturday was the perfect day to spend some time in the present.

After a busy week and those late Friday and Saturday nights, there’s always a sense of urgency to jump straight into the Sunday grind! You know – the to-do lists, homework, emails etc. Even with the tasks where our bodies are physically resting, our minds and emotions are still sprinting around at full speed.

As human beings with laptops and smartphones or whatever other device you’re reading this blog on right now, we don’t focus on the present very often.

Today was different.

I had no plans and obligations. None. There was no reason to constantly check my phone or plan out my day, so I made a decision. Soak up this moment of calm, rest your mind and don’t worry.

Experience total bliss.

The thoughts, concerns and worries that influenced my mood and actions this week nearly vanished. I was even on the phone with Bluehost support for over an hour (many of you expressed that you couldn’t comment on my posts – working hard to fix it!) and they kept apologizing for lack of an immediate answer.

My response? No worries.

At the time of the call I was drinking coffee, eating pumpkin chocolate chip cookie batter off the whisk and recovering from a chilly walk in the woods underneath a giant blanket. Other than wanting the best blog experience for my readers and a working website… I had no concerns. Therefore, I felt patient enough to let them take all of the time they needed.

It was out of my control. Most of life is!

We’ve all heard it a thousand times, but here goes again! There’s no use stressing about the things we can’t control.

Be here! In the moment! It might be a better place than what you’re worrying about in your own head.

Wishing you a very happy weekend full of good experiences and relaxing vibes! Talk soon! ♥️ E
